About Foveal
Foveal began inside a practising ophthalmologist's clinic, and it still runs that clinic's OPD every day. Each change is shaped by the doctors and front-desk staff who use it.
Questions doctors ask us
It was built inside a working eye OPD, not adapted from a general EMR. Refraction, vision and IOP have their own grids, every finding is recorded per eye and printed with the eye named in words, and each patient's vision and pressure trends sit on one timeline across visits. Pro takes a cataract case from advice to estimate, consent, checklist, op note and discharge.
Your desk keeps working. Registrations, check-ins and payments taken offline are saved on the machine for up to 72 hours and reach the server on their own when the connection returns, so nothing is typed twice. Consultation drafts are kept on the machine too.
Each clinic's records are walled off inside the database itself, not just hidden by the app. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and hosted in Mumbai, and every change is logged with who made it and why, and never deleted. Patient consent is captured and versioned, and you can export every record whenever you like.
It gives you records your assessor can read: every action audit-logged and never deleted, consent captured and versioned, op notes locked once signed, and prescriptions that name the eye in words.
Appointment confirmations and reminders on WhatsApp, a link to their own report after the visit, and a bill with a UPI QR code for the exact amount due. Reports and bills can print in English or Marathi on your own letterhead.
The receptionist's whole job is three buttons, and we sit with your team for their first live morning. The 30-day guarantee is the safety net.
Yes. If your patient list is in Excel or another software, save it as a CSV file and upload it in Settings, or we do it for you during setup. Your paper records stay exactly where they are.
The same week you say yes. We create your clinic, add your staff, load your fee list and letterhead, and sit with your front desk for their first live morning. Nothing to install, no server to buy.
Lite covers the daily OPD loop — registration, queue, exam, prescription, billing, print — with WhatsApp reminders included. Pro adds the operation theatre, insurance claims for surgeries, counter sale and stock with GST bills, optical orders, and pharmacy dispensing from the prescription. IPD (inpatient) is not available yet.
A full, facts-only breakdown is on the comparison page — what each option costs, what it's built for, and where each one actually helps.
